Legal · Terms

The deal, kept simple.

These terms cover using dropthis: what you can publish, what we'll act on, and the limits on both sides. By creating an account or publishing a drop, you agree to them.

01 — These terms

These terms

dropthis is operated by Demc, Damjan Malis s.p. ("we", "us"), a sole proprietorship registered in Slovenia, in the European Union. These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and us. If you don't agree with them, don't use dropthis.

02 — The service

The service

dropthis takes content — HTML, files, or a public URL we fetch for you — and serves it at a web link you can share. You can update a drop, change its settings, or delete it. We may improve, change, or retire features over time.

03 — Your account

Your account

Publishing requires an account — there is no anonymous publishing. Keep your sign-in and API keys to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account, including anything an AI assistant or automation publishes on your behalf. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

04 — Acceptable use

Acceptable use

Don't use dropthis to publish or do any of the following:

  • Phishing, scams, malware, or anything designed to deceive or harm people or their devices.
  • Impersonating a person, brand, or organization to mislead others.
  • Content that is illegal where you or your audience are, including content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Infringing someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Spam, mass unsolicited messaging, or abusing the service to overload or disrupt it.
  • Trying to break, probe, or get around the security and limits of the service.

You are responsible for everything published through your account. Because an AI assistant may publish on your behalf, review what it produces — what your AI publishes is treated as published by you.

05 — Your content

Your content

You keep ownership of what you publish. You grant us the limited permission we need to host, store, and serve your drops so the links work — nothing more. We don't claim your content and we don't use it to train models.

When you publish from a URL, our server fetches that page for you. That fetch is restricted so it can't be pointed at private or internal network addresses.

06 — Reporting abuse

Reporting abuse & takedown

If you find a drop that breaks these rules, report it to [email protected] with the link and a short description.

We aim to review reports within 3 business days. When content breaks these terms or the law, we may remove it, disable the link, or suspend the account behind it. For clearly illegal or seriously harmful content we act as fast as we can, without waiting for that window.

07 — Plans & payment

Plans & payment

dropthis has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The current limits and prices are on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, after which Pro drops follow the Free retention rules.

08 — Availability

Availability & "as is"

We work to keep dropthis up and your links live, but we provide the service "as is" and can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything important — don't rely on a drop as your only copy.

09 — Liability

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of dropthis. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory EU law, or any liability that can't legally be excluded.

10 — Termination

Suspension & termination

You can stop using dropthis and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts us or others at legal risk. Where it's reasonable and safe to do so, we'll let you know.

11 — Changes

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If you keep using dropthis after a change, that counts as accepting the updated terms.

12 — Governing law

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia and the European Union. For anything about your account or these terms, reach us at [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
